We like to keep things simple: we only store what is strictly necessary to run Focie, we don’t use tracking cookies, and we are completely transparent about how AI works.
1. Pro Waitlist & Emails
Leave your email for the Early Bird waitlist? We only use it to let you know when Pro features go live or when early beta spots open up.
No spam, no selling to third parties. Every email has an instant 1-click unsubscribe link.
2. Cookieless Analytics (Matomo)
We use our own Matomo setup to see which topics are popular and whether the site runs fast. Completely cookieless, no advertising trackers, and no tracking across other websites.
3. Prompts & AI Generation
When you enter a topic, our system sends your request to AI models (like Google Gemini) to create the visual slides. Each generated explanation gets its own link so you can easily view and share it.
Good to know: Generated links are public. Never put passwords, bank details, or confidential info into a prompt.
4. Fair Use & Free Storage
Focie Explains is free to try. We do our best to keep all generated links working as long as possible, but we don’t offer lifelong uptime guarantees on free links.
